I was trying to stream an episode of Mad Men tonight and it wouldn't load. After clicking on the 'Report Broken Link' button I was taken to a page with the below message... I guess they get a lot of people reporting broken links that aren't really broken?!
After reading all the possible solutions and a checklist to make sure it's not your fault you are free to click the following link...

My Birthday
Celebrating my first birthday in Vancouver (32nd of all-time) and received a package from the fam yesterday with all the essentials... Vegemite, Milo... and of course, a Hip Hop Frog!
So we met up on Commercial Drive at 12pm for the big pub crawl to celebrate my birthday as well as Ken and Jesse. Jon brought a bunch of beads, horns and hats for everyone and helium balloons for the three of us.
It didn't take long before we were all getting loud and trumpeting our way down Commercial from one bar to the next with a few little processions around random shops along the way... most people appreciated the enthusiasm of the celebrations.
We had an awesome lunch at the Charlatan and ended out handing out the majority of our beads to the folks at the Canadian Legion Club. We made our way to Lux on Granville and Jon disappeared for about 20 minutes to collect an awesome ice cream cake with our faces on it.

Thank God it's Friday
What a bizarre day... so far! I was on the computer and some random guy named Aigun from the Ukraine calls me on Skype. So I humor him and have a bit of a chat. I think he sounded a great deal like Borat...
After I hung up i could smell burning plastic and remembered that I'd put the kettle on the stove about 20 minutes ago. I hadn't heard it whistle, maybe due to the music or the titillating conversation with Aigun. But anyway I ran out to the kitchen to find the kettle empty with the handle melted clean off and some of the melted plastic starting to catch fire on the element. Just got there in time to avoid a major disaster. The worst part is that now the whole place wreaks of burnt plastic... even after a good spray of the vanilla deodorizer I picked up at the dollar store.

Pretending it's Summer
Went for a ride with Jon through Stanley Park today. It was a beautiful sunny day with a top almost in double figures. After a couple of hours exercise we thought we'd ruin it all with some pints in the sun and a 'Fat Burger'... Double Fat Burger with cheese to be precise.

Riding on 'The Drive'
Nice sunny day today and the temperature almost hit double digits so I rode up to the old hood and got some lunch from my favorite bakery and sat in McSpadden Park and ate and read and listened to the iPod for a while. Then I see this guy chasing his little dog around and trying to stop him from eating other dog's shit... then he had to explain to me how gross it was when his dog 'barfs up dog shit'.... lovely!! Don't worry I didn't get any graphic pics.

Grouse Mtn Boarding
Decided that I would head up to Grouse again today. No new snow but thanks to Mike it wasn't gonna cost me a cent so I thought why not make the most of not working and head up.
I was reading the paper on the seabus on the way over and I clicked this link a bunch of times but it didn't seem to want to load the page...
Great visibility but the sun didn't really break through the whole day...
Chilaxing on the pier at Lonsdale Quay...
Best fruit salad ever from Lonsdale Quay markets...

Sunny Sunday ride
I had to grab my bike from getting a service at Ride On Again this morning so I walked over to Broadway in about 1/2 hour and rode back. rode back through Kitsilano and then stopped in at Granville Island and get a pie from the market. I think we have anew contender for Vancouver's best meat pie...

Rad coffee shop
Always good to see a privately owned coffee shop with 'real' coffee and not full of laptops and rewards cards...
